Thursday, May 22, 2003 Smells Like Teen Spirit Yeah, its been a long time... Don't worry, not that you would... I haven't killed myself, yet... But, enough with the downtrodden sarcasm, time for some humor. This week is our school spirit week, conveniently scheduled before final exams... hmmm... anyway, the days have those cheesey dress-up themes...and since I have nothing better to do, I've been all spirity... Here are some quotations from my Chemistry teacher, Mr. Kliza, possibly the funniest man I've ever met... On "Change Your Identity Day": "YEAH baggy crack dealer!" -Kliza "Um, actually, I'm Amanda...(a girl in my class, standing right next to me)" "...any questions on the homework?" -Kliza "Mark Rollins! What are YOU? A typical St. Mark's student?" -Kliza "Uh . . . yeah . . . NO!! My shirt's not tucked in! Do I have to tuck it in?" -Mark "No, cause it's BAGGY CRACK DEALER DAY!" -Kliza "Why do they waste money making elements?" -Tara "For research! Someday, you could look up and see Taraburkium..." -Kliza [Pause, Tara Burke's looking up at table...] "...I was actually looking for it!" -Tara [Kliza's red and tearing with laughter] "That's what the word Joao (the name of a kid in our class) was made for...JOWOW! -Kliza On "Beach Day": "YEAH Jimmy Buffet look-alike day!
