Wednesday, December 25, 2002 Merry xmas... my christmas dinner has been postponed to Sunday due to the oh so scary threat of snow... but I don't care much. 'Tis the season to be jolly... What have I done lately? Well, let's see... -Finished reading Shakespeare's Twelfth Night -Finished reading Chuck Palahnuik's Lullaby -Took my kid sister to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets -Went to 2 wakes and 2 funerals [my dad's cousin Joe (alchohol...liver...) and uncle John (alzheimer's...fell asleep and his house burned down)] -Went to an elaborately over-decorated shrine avec ma famille... ['Tis the season of giving, not of using up all of earth's resources to light up a freaking "shrine" (not to mention wasteful wrapping paper...and the ritual sacrifice of christmas trees...but I'm just a kill-joy). Apparently 'tis the season of comercialism, greed, and flagrant displays of power and wealth...] -Watched far too many movies on tv: O - Decent acting in the end, could have done without the basketball crap... Ocean's Eleven - Kept my interest The Mummy - Surprisingly not disappointing, as long as you ignore some of the low quality special effects and voice overs... Snatch [re-watched] - Always good for laughs The Nightmare Before Christmas [re-watched] - I love that movie... Evolution - Not as funny as Bekky had said it was...but I didn't hate it... Riding in Cars with Boys - Not sure if I liked it or not... Witches of Eastwick - Entertaining...imagine Jack Nicholson, Susan Surandon, Michelle Phfiffer, and Cher not singing like a man... And I know I've seen more....but I can't think of them right now, so you'll just have to wait patiently or hit the refresh button untill your computer crashes.... posted by Shannon | 3:10 PM |
