Saturday, November 02, 2002 Sorry for the lack of updates...but as you can tell by reading any part of my blog...my life isn't all that interesting... I'm actually somewhat surprised that I didn't even leave the usual "Happy Halloween" post or the "OMG it's November" post... but, well, I've been busy. Grades close Monday. I managed to boost them up a bit, so I'm satisfied. So...what's been happening of interest lately... I just watched Spiderman last night. My dad saw it with my younger sister a while back and was raving about it. After all, he used to read all those comic books... Spiderman, Iron Man, the Silver Surfer, you get the idea... I must admit I was skeptical about seeing it because the previews and that damn overplayed music video showed very unconvicing special effects. But, in the end, I liked it. The effects and the cliches based in a realistic fantasy world rather than a realistic world made it more like a comic book. "Nanotechnology! I wrote a paper on that, too!" "That really makes a statement about schizophrenia..." "If the Green Demon had been less greedy and more of an opportunist, he could have killed Spiderman right then and there!" On another note... "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the IMAX experience! Rated PG for sustained sequences or sci-fi action violence..." Call me a loser, but I'm so there... Tomorrow, actually :) Jordan's Furnature is actually good for something... Imagine... a screen half a football feild long... eight stories tall... moving seats... even smell-effects! Yolande's mom saw Appollo 13 there last weekend and said that when they showed the beach, you could smell the ocean... I'm excited!
