Sunday, July 28, 2002 My left pinky is killing me... I smashed it today between an 8 ft. 4x4 and a rough, crumbled, cinder block... funny, though, it's the same finger I broke a few years ago dancing at a christmas party, but luckily it's not broken this time... And know what's been bugging me lately? The second one Alicia Keyes comes along, tons of little fame-seeking, whiney-voiced pianists come crawling out of the wood work with their simple, boring melodies and unoriginal lyrics that lack any real feeling...and it makes me almost ashamed to love playing piano so much...but I suppose that's just me and my pathetic little need to feel special, being all "I don't wanna be just another whatever..." but I'll try not to let it get to me... Latest works in progress: Fiona Apple - Shadowboxer, APC - The Hollow [acoustic live from Philly vers.], and Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness [yeah, it's not a very difficult song, but still entertaining, and it includes the longest chord strech I've had in a while (E, B, F#)] Yay for Gumby hands... posted by Shannon | 9:40 PM |
