Tuesday, April 16, 2002 Lately, I'm positive that English wasn't my first language... My friend Caitie and I haven't been able to speak correctly for about a month. She was talking to me the other day and attempted to say "I'm not quite sure I understand it..." only what actually came out of her mouth was "I'm not under sure I stand it..." Leaves you to wonder about the intelligence level of my friends... But I'm not one to speak...my neighbor, Amanda, recently bought the same telephone that I have. When we found out, we joked about how we'd go crazy answering phones that weren't ringing. One day I heard a phone ringing that sounded like mine, but It wasn't mine. So being bored and having nothing else to do, I walked down the hall to see if it was her's. When I got there, I tried to explain my reason for coming...but it came out something like this: "Someone's phone's else's must have!" Later, when I was talking to the coach of my crew team, I tried to say something about the novice rowers. Novices came out "noviges"...
