![]() Tuesday, April 02, 2002 ...you start to wonder about your family when your dad assumes you've become an annorexic, suicidal, gothic, vegetarian...and you haven't... And another thing, what exactly does gothic, in terms of describing someone, actually mean? It's used so often to describe anyone who wears black clothes or black nail pollish, but is that all it means? Sometimes it is given anti-religious conotations, but is that true to the word? Also, being gothic is often unfairly given negative conotations. People fear what they cannot understand. But what is the actual meaning? Does being gothic simply mean a person's favorite color [...yes, I know it's not a color...] is black? If that's the case, then I'm gothic. I do not deserve to be thought of negatively, nor does anyone who considers themself to be gothic. Personally, I don't consider my self gothic simply because I don't know what it truly means. People of the internet, I ask you: what does being gothic actually mean? posted by Shannon | 4:57 PM |
